CAMPAIGN OFF TO A GOOD START
The Pretoria part of Go Turquoise 4 the Elderly is off to a good start in and around the Brooklyn area. On Monday 19 May, Ben Kruger (well-known actor of Binnelanders), visited Machteld Postmus Complex to show his support for the campaign. To top the event, Pick n Pay Hillcrest surprised residents of the Complex with a turquoise-coloured cake and a message of love and support for all the elderly.
The residents thoroughly enjoyed Ben’s visit and made good use of this opportunity to discuss his recent TV “marriage” with him!
Pick n Pay Hillcrest is a regular visitor to the Complex and this time they bought into the campaign by sporting the turquoise colour in the icing. With Jo-Mari Haarhoff (manager of the Complex) are Jane and Elizabeth of Pick n Pay.
This is how it looks in a section of Lynnwood Road where learners of Pretoria Boys High and individuals helped cover the tree trunks:

Thanks to everyone who helped covering the tree trunks!
